In church life, it’s easy to talk about what Jesus said without actually doing what Jesus did. We believe that the methods of making disciples that Jesus modeled for us go hand-in-hand with the message that He preached. Jesus established the church to “Go and make disciples.” As we follow His example, we can be a part of His discipleship plan. in 2013, Midway began a SHIFT in the way we structure and lead our LIFE Groups so that we can achieve a reproducible process of discipleship. Our goal is to be a multiplication church that reaches the world for Jesus, one highly valued life at a time, through developing biblical disciples in relational environments.

A key training piece that was used in fall of 2013 as a part of our DiscipleShift series was a resource developed by Real Life Ministries. We led our entire church and all LIFE Groups through a study of the Real Life Discipleship Training Manual, and this resource is still a part of our new group leaders’ training process today.
